Waitemata DHB MHINC System
MHINC (the Mental health Information National Collection) is a national dataset required from all publicly-funded providers of mental health services.
In 2000, Waitemata DHB Mental Health Services needed to comply with the MHINC requirements. As Casemix Information Manager for Mental Health Services, Grant Paton-Simpson was responsible for designing forms, organising data collection from nearly 30 teams, managing a data entry team, and producing reporting and statistical analysis.
He was also a member of the National MHINC Working Party for over a year.
